Poland is a modern and safe country located in Central and Eastern Europe, a member of the European Union since 2004. Poland was the first of the Central and Eastern Europe countries to undergo the transformation from socialism to democracy. On 4th June 1989, there were first free elections won by the “Solidarity” led by Lech Wałęsa. From that time, Poland is developing very fast, which is the reason why you can find modern facilities and accommodation there, build mostly after the year 2000.
